Austria offers a 6-month job seeker visa, allowing professionals to enter the country legally and search for employment. Once a job is secured, applicants can transition to a two-year work permit, leading to permanent residency and eventual citizenship.

Applicants must score at least 70 points based on the following factors:

Age

• Under 35 years – 20 points
• 35 to 40 years – 15 points
• 40 to 45 years – 10 points

• MINT Specializations (Engineering, Medicine, Commerce, Business Administration, IT, Nursing): 30 points
• Other Specializations: 20 points
• Doctorate Degree: 40 points

Applicants must provide a bank statement showing between €5,000 and €6,000 (or equivalent in any currency).

• After securing a job, applicants receive a two-year work residency permit.
• The permit can be renewed for another two years.
• After 5 years, applicants become eligible for permanent residency and citizenship.
• Family Reunification is possible after 6 months of working in Austria.
• After 6 months, applicants may also apply for the EU Blue Card, allowing them to work in any European Union country.
